On Saturday, Jul 18 2026 Marana Rotary Club Members volunteered to assist with the MUSD Back to School Backpack and Resource Fair.

The event was held at the Marana Aquatic and Recreation Center (MARC)

Students were able to pick up a new backpack and school supplies, get annual vaccines and discover community resources! 1,200 backpacks were distributed. Backpacks and school supplies are for families needing extra support and are distributed on a first-come basis. There was no cost to the students or their families to participate.

  • Td (Tetanus, Diphtheria)
  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
  • IPV (Polio)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
  • Meningococcal

Sports Physicals offered by Marana Health Center (MHC)

  • $15 for the first child, $10 dollars for each additional child (in the same household).
  • Dental checks for ages 0 – 21 to keep those smiles healthy.

 

All in all, a good morning for Marana, MUSD and for the Marana Rotarians who volunteered their services.
